Pan Connectors

Pan connectors are essential plumbing fittings that create a secure and reliable connection between the toilet pan (also known as the bowl), and the soil pipe. Their purpose is to allow waste to be flushed out of the bowl and into the toilet waste pipe, without any leaks or blockages occurring. From there, it will be transported to the underground drainage system.

We offer a wide range of these toilet fittings including straight, flexible and offset pan connectors in order to accommodate a variety of different waste pipe positions, toilet designs and property requirements. The join on all of our pan connectors is watertight, which ensures a secure connection and prevents any nasty odours from escaping the soil system and entering the bathroom.

Materials & Quality Standards

Our pan connector range is manufactured by FloPlast, the market leader for plastic drainage products in the United Kingdom. All of our pan connector products are manufactured from high-quality white propylene and conform to the following British Standards:

  • BS 5627:1984 – Specification for plastics connectors for use with horizontal outlet vitreous china WC pans.
  • BS EN 681 – Elastomeric seals. Material requirements for pipe joint seals used in water and drainage applications. Thermoplastic elastomers.

Each connecter features a rubber ring for a water-tight seal, as well as an integrated sealing diaphragm, which provides flexibility during installation as it allows for 5-degree misalignment if necessary.

What are the Different Types of Pan Connector?

Our selection of pan connectors provides numerous different options, each of which is useful in certain toilet installations:

  • Straight pan connector: This is the most popular type of pan connector, it is used to create a direct and in-line connection between the soil pipe and the toilet pan.
  • 90 degree pan connector: Used in situations where the toilet is not directly in line with the soil pipe, and a 90 degree connection is required.
  • Flexi pan connector: Perhaps the most versatile of these fittings, a flexible pan connector is very handy when the soil pipe is at an awkward position or angle to the toilet pan outlet.
  • Swan neck pan connector: Commonly used when a modern close-coupled pan is installed in place of an older low-level pan.
  • Pan connector extension: These are used in conjunction with any pan connector in scenarios when the distance between the pan outlet and the soil pipe is too far for a standard pan connector to cover.
