New Standards For Accesso Inspection Chambers
Accesso Chambers Designed With Compliance in Mind
Our Accesso Inspection Chambers from Turtle Enviro are designed and manufactured with compliance in mind. Their design complies with the following:
- BS EN 13598-2
- Sewers for Adoption Guidelines – SfA7
- Section H of the Building Regulations
Back in March 2020, Sewers for Adoption 8 (SfA 8), which was due to be published to replace SfA7, was superceded by Ofwat's Code for Agreements.
As part of the implementation of these agreements, there has been formation of the Design and Construction Guidance (DCG). This document, is now being used by Specifiers, Engineers, Consultants and Water Companies in their design.
Parts B & C of the DCG, define the designs of two types of inspection chambers - Type D and E within Part C of the guidance stipulates that:
Inspection chambers and manholes must have a minimum 50mm fall from side inlet to main channel
Turtle Enviro having already been party to draft documents for SfA8, predicted that this would become a mandatory requirement for future design and construction of Non-Man Entry/Adoptable Inspection Chambers and Manholes.
All Accesso Inspection Chamber bases have a minimum 50mm fall from side inlets to the main channel and we aren't aware of any other 600mm diameter inspection chambers with this feature.
