Drainage Coupling Double Socket - 110mm

Couplings, or connectors as they are sometimes referred to, are used to join two plain ended pipes together, or can also be used to connect a plain ended pipe to the plain end of another fitting.
If the pipe has been cut to length it should be chamfered and lubricated prior to insertion into the connector to ensure the best possible seal. This connector has a centre stop, which means that it cannot be slid along a pipe but it is used predominantly when laying new drains. If you are repairing or replacing a section of the broken pipe, it is easier to use a slip coupling, which does not have the centre stop. This enables the slip coupling to be inserted completely onto one of the lengths of pipe and then moved back into position to make the join when the new section of pipe is lowered into position.
