Our damp-proof membranes are robust solutions manufactured from recycled polythene, ensuring both environmental responsibility and long-lasting performance. These membranes comply with PIFA (Plastic and Industrial Films Association) standards and hold accreditation from the British Board of Agrement (BBA), signifying their adherence to rigorous quality and safety regulations.

We offer two standard gauges for our DPM membranes to cater to your specific project needs:

1000 Gauge (250 Microns): This versatile option provides a reliable moisture barrier for various applications.
1200 Gauge (300 Microns): For projects demanding a higher level of moisture protection, this thicker gauge offers enhanced durability.

Our damp proofing membranes are supplied in rolls measuring 25 meters long and 4 meters wide, facilitating efficient application across large areas in both new construction and renovation projects.

Applications for Damp Proof Membranes

Damp proof membranes play a crucial role in safeguarding buildings from moisture ingress. They are typically installed:

On Walls: Damp proof membranes for walls act as a barrier against rising dampness, preventing moisture from penetrating the building envelope and potentially causing structural damage or fostering mould growth. Damp proof membranes for walls are ideally studded sheet membranes, usually with a mesh thermic welded to the surface to allow the plaster to be directly applied.
On Floors: In below-ground applications, DPM sheets create a barrier against moisture migration from the surrounding soil, protecting internal floor structures and preventing dampness within the building. Building regulations propose that below floors the polyethylene sheets should be 1200 gauge.
