This channel drain balloon guard prevents leaves and moss from entering your channel drainage system and drain pipes. Leaves caught on the balloon guard can easily be removed by hand.
Domestic channel drains, sometimes called Aco or linear drains, are most commonly found around the edge of a driveway or forecourt, often between the driveway and the house or garage. They are also frequently installed at the edge of a patio or paved area.
No special tools are required to install channel drains and it is a fairly straightforward process, but it is important to note that they must always be installed within a bed of concrete. Full instructions can be viewed here.
