Drainage Gully Traps

All of our drainage gullies are fully trapped, meaning they will not allow any nasty odours from wastewater to escape the drainage system and linger in your garden. Water will flow down through the body of the gully and out through a higher outlet on the other side. This leaves a body of water below the level of the outlet which any nasty smells cannot get through. Trapped gullies work much like the trap under a kitchen sink in this sense.

Bottle Gully

Bottle gullies are the most popular type of gully that we offer, mostly due to the fact that they can easily be rodded. The grid on top of the gully is removable, as is the central chamber. This means that any small pieces of debris that have entered the gully, such as dirt or grit, can be cleaned out by hand. Alternatively, a drain rod can be inserted in either end to help clean out blockages.

P Trap Gully

A P Trap gully is larger than a standard bottle gully and requires a separate hopper to be secured on top to allow water to be fed in. Unlike bottle gullies, those with a P trap cannot be rodded with a standard rod to remove potential blockages, due to their shape. P trap gullies are available in both 90-degree and 45-degree variations.
